Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Strada Fluent ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep this as short and plain as we can.

Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address and display name when you create an account (by email or by signing in with Google). Google shares your email address and basic profile name with us when you use that sign-in method.
  • Learning data: the flashcard decks and cards you create, the cards you mark as known, and your conjugation practice scores. This is tied to your account.
  • Local preferences: settings like your conjugation drill options and your cookie choice are stored in your browser and are not sent to us.

Advertising: some pages can show ads served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies. Free visitors see ads; if you turn on Personalised ads in cookie settings, Google may tailor them to your interests, otherwise it shows generic, non-personalised ads based only on the page. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. We don't sell your data or use analytics trackers.

How we use your data

  • To provide your account: sign you in, save your decks, and track your progress.
  • To operate and improve the service, and to fix problems when things break.
  • To send essential service emails, such as password resets. We don't send marketing email.

Legal basis (EEA/UK)

We process your account and learning data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for). Where we rely on consent — for example, for non-essential cookies — you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run Strada Fluent: a hosting and database provider that stores account and learning data, an authentication provider, and an email delivery provider for transactional messages. These providers process data only on our behalf. We may disclose data if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your decks and progress, within 30 days, except where we must retain some records for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you're in the EEA or UK and believe we've mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a service of this kind.

Children

Strada Fluent isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes and contact

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page. For privacy questions or requests, see our Cookie Policy and Terms of Service, or contact us at the address shown on the site.
